Situated in the heart of the traditional Berber fishing village of Tamraght, our new partner surf camp is the perfect place to experience the magic of Morocco. The camp is just 3 km South of the surfing-famed Taghazout, and 14 km North of the bustling city of Agadir. At our camp you’re in the prime position to enjoy some of the best surf that North Africa has to offer!
Your home for your holiday will be our beautiful surf villa, with its colourful garden, and rooftop terrace from which you can spot-check the waves. There are suites, double and standard rooms to choose from, and with a maximum capacity of 18 guests, our surf house certainly has a homely, cosy vibe. Every morning your hosts will have a tasty breakfast spread set out for you to set you up for your day in the water. If deciding where to eat out is the last thing you want to think about after a long surf session, we also have packages that include lunch and dinner too.
Regardless of whether you’ve never surfed before or spent most of your life in the water, our surf camp in Tamraght will fulfil all your surfing needs. If you are a beginner, or an intermediate surfer riding green waves, our surf courses led by qualified instructors will have you progressing your surf skills quickly, and will heighten your confidence in the water. The lessons take place in small groups, with an absolute maximum of eight students per group, ensuring you get the individual attention your surfing requires to advance. If you don’t speak one of the official languages of Morocco, namely Arabic and Moroccan Berber, you need not worry, as our surf courses are all delivered in English.
More advanced surfers may prefer our surf guiding package, where each day you are driven to the best spots for the day’s conditions for some free surfing. This completely takes the hassle out of surfing in an unfamiliar region. Our surf guides have a wealth of local knowledge, knowing the local breaks like the back of their hand, ensuring all you have to think about is enjoying the pumping surf!
Alternatively, there is also our ‘Surf The Coast’ package on offer, where you can spend the week travelling along Morocco’s extensive coastline, staying at several different locations. This is a great option if you want to experience a variety of Morocco’s towns and villages during your week’s stay.
Or if you fancy yourself more as a stand-up paddle boarder than as a surfer, then our SUP packages are made just for you! Or perhaps you’d like to split your time between surfing and hiking Morocco’s mountain ranges, then our Surf & Hiking package is a great choice too.
Out of the water there are many activities to choose from to fill your free time with. How about a trip to the oasis that is Paradise Valley, where you can swim in the crystal-clear waters, and work on your tan in the warm Moroccan sun? Or perhaps a camel ride through the desert is more up your street? Of course, in easy reach is the city of Agadir, home to the colourful, and world-famous market of Souk el Had. Travelling further afield, you can take a trip to Essaouira, just under 3 hours drive away. The coastal city of Essaouira is steeped in history and has a vibrant art scene too. Closer to home you can learn how to cook like a local by joining in with our inhouse Moroccan cooking class, using only the freshest ingredients, sourced from the local market.
For the yogis among you, there are also Vinyasa style yoga classes that take place twice a day; in the early morning and the afternoon. The Vinyasa style is very complementary to surfing, with our classes focusing specifically on the muscle groups that are engaged when you are in the water. Those wishing to take their yoga practise to the next level, can also choose to join our Yoga Surf Retreat package.
