Here at Planet Surf, we’re eagerly counting down the days until our surf camps in France reopen for summer. 2017 saw an epic summer in France, and 2018 is set to be even better! No matter what style of surf camp you’re looking for, you’ll find it at one of our four French camps!
We’ve got the peaceful haven of Le Pin Sec where you can enjoy pure relaxation in our glamping tents, or if you’re looking to blow off some steam, at the other end of the scale, we’ve got our Moliets camp where we follow epic surf sessions with epic party sessions! A little further South of Moliets lies the beachside camp of Vieux Boucau, situated just metres from the surf, and if you’re not yet 18 years old then our Junior Camp ensures you’re not left out either! All our camps are different in nature and of course everyone has their own favourite! Here’s a quick overview of the flavour of each camp so that you can get a feel of which camp is right for you.

Le Pin Sec – Chilled-out Luxury
If it’s a peaceful week enjoying the French waves that you are after, then our most relaxed camp in Le Pin Sec is probably the one for you. Moreover, if it’s the idea of camping that’s the only thing stopping you from joining us in the French sun then you need not worry! All our accommodation in Le Pin Sec is glamping style! Each tent is kitted out with proper mattresses and is set upon wooden floorboards. The vibes are relaxed, there are yoga classes every day, and the line ups are uncrowded. Le Pin Sec makes for the perfect place to escape your everyday stresses and unwind.
Moliets – Party in the Pines
Situated within the pine forest of Landes, just behind the extensive sand dunes, lies our infamous surf camp of Moliets. Spend all day surfing, chilling on the beach, or skating our mini-ramp before getting stuck into the night’s activity and then inevitably hitting the town’s bars. Moliets is certainly one of our most lively camps and as such you’ll undoubtedly come away with some entertaining stories, and some great new friends too. What’s more, if one country’s not enough for you in a week, you can join our day trip to the beautiful city of San Sebastian, in Spain’s Basque Country, where you can enjoy delicious pintxos, breath-taking views, and a wild night out. Moliets is the camp for you if you want a fun packed week of surfing, with plenty of party.
Vieux Boucau – The Surf on your Doorstep
Stroll just 100m from our camp in Vieux Boucau and you’re at the surf! Drive twenty minutes South and you’re in Hossegor! This excellent location, combined with the cosy camp atmosphere, by virtue of a maximum capacity of 36 guests, makes our Vieux Boucau camp the perfect place for a week’s surfing getaway. Accommodation is in glamping style tents, with mattresses, and wooden floors so that you can escape the endless sand. If you feel in the party spirit then the local bar is only a short walk away, and there’s our weekly trip to the city of San Sebastian on offer too. If you want to be in prime location to the surf, our Vieux Boucau camp is made just for you.
Junior Camp – For Teenage Shredders
Not old enough to join us at one of our adult camps yet but keen to rip? If you’re 14 – 17 years old come visit our Junior Camp in Moliets and return to school after the holidays with a load of great memories, and new surfing skills! Your days will be filled with surf lessons, skating our own mini-ramp, beach games, day-trips and chilling at the beach with new friends. In the evenings you won’t be bored either with parties, karaoke, and games to enjoy. With all this activity and fresh air you’ll probably build quite the appetite, but with an expansive buffet for breakfast and lunch each day, and hot, home-cooked meals each night, our inhouse chef has you sorted!
