Surf School Ericeira - Learn to surf in Portugal

In order to ensure that you have an unforgettable time at our surf camp as well as huge progress in the water, we adapt our surf lessons, be it in a group or a private lesson, according to your past surfing experience and skill level. Therefore we distinguish between beginners, intermediates and experts. In your first surf lesson one of our experienced and licensed surf coaches will evaluate your surf level since it is very common to over- or underestimate oneself – which is completely normal, though.

Given you did not sign up for a private lesson, you will be in a group with a maximum of 5 other people, so there will never be more than 6 students per surf instructor. By way of these small group sizes we can guarantee optimum care for every individual student as well as their safety. Speaking of which, all our surf instructors are trained lifeguards.
Depending on your skill level you will either learn the foundations of surfing in the whitewater, how to catch and ride green waves, how to do your first turns or give them the final touch, to only name a few. No matter which of these applies to you, you can be sure that you are always in the best hands with our surf instructors.
You will only have to bring a towel and your swimming suit to the surf lesson and we will take care of the rest for you, including the transfer to the surf spot. By the way, before your first lesson we will pick out a wetsuit and surfboard for you so that you’ll be all set to surf Portugal’s amazing waves.
